    Still trying to decide what dessert to bring to the Fourth of July potluck? Skip the store-bought apple pie and get a little more creative this year. You don’t have to be a master chef to make these 5 delicious (and easy) patriotic dessert recipes taste good.

    1. Red, White, and Blue Yogurt Pops

    The best thing about these pops are that they’re healthy and easy! No baking skills required. All you need is some yogurt, fruit, and a freezer to make your friends’ favorite new dessert.

    Ingredients:

    - vanilla yogurt

    - blueberries

    - strawberries

    Instructions:

    1. Place a small paper cup inside a muffin tin.

    2. Place a dollop of yogurt in the paper cup.

    3. Add a layer of blueberries.

    4. Add a layer of yogurt.

    5. Add a layer of strawberries.

    6. Insert your popsicle stick.

    7. Add a finishing layer of yogurt.

    8. Place them in the freezer overnight. Your patriotic pops will be ready to enjoy the next morning!

    2. Buzzed Strawberry Bites

    Nothing goes together better than berries and booze. This quick and simple recipe is designed for the adults-only Fourth of July festivities. Enjoy responsibly.

    Ingredients:

    - fresh strawberries

    - 2 cups light rum

    - 1 cup melted white chocolate

    - ½ cup blue sugar sprinkles

    Instructions:

    1. Soak strawberries in rum for 24 hours.

    2. Pat the strawberries dry.

    3. Dip berries into melted white chocolate.

    4. Dip into blue sprinkles.

    The best thing about these cones is that you don’t have to worry about them melting in the hot sun! Bite in and have yourself a festive cupcake in the guise of an ice cream cone. These cones are simple to make and simple to eat!

    Ingredients:

    - ice cream cones

    - white cake mix

    - blue food coloring

    - buttercream frosting

    - cherries

    Instructions:

    1. Add blue food coloring to your white cake mix and bake according to the directions on the box.

    2. Crumble up the cake and stuff it into your ice cream cones.

    3. Add a layer of buttercream frosting on top.

    4. Top it off with a cherry!

    4. 4th of July Snow Cone Cupcakes

    Here’s another deceptive treat that looks like a frozen dessert (but is actually a cupcake)! Keeping snow cones from melting in the hot summer sun is a hard job, so replace them with a look-a-like cupcake.

    Ingredients:

    - 4 oz. Styrofoam cups

    - pre-baked cupcakes

    - red icing

    - red sugar sprinkles

    - blue-striped straws

    Instructions:

    1. Remove the wrapper from your cupcake and place inside a Styrofoam cup.

    2. Place red icing in the freezer for about 15 minutes to stiffen.

    3. After the icing becomes firm, place one scoop of icing on top of your cupcake.

    4. Place red sugar sprinkles in a bowl and coat the top of the cupcake in sprinkles.

    5. Insert the straw.

    5. Patriotic Popcorn

    This fun and tasty snack is perfect for munching on while watching the fireworks. The best part? It only takes a few minutes!

    Ingredients:

    - popcorn

    - blue candy melts

    - red candy melts

    - red and blue sprinkles

    Instructions:
    1. Lay popcorn on a piece of parchment paper.

    2. Melt the red and blue candy melts and place in separate plastic bags. Snip the ends.

    3. Squeeze red and blue candy melts evenly over the popcorn.

    4. Add sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.

    5. Place popcorn in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to harden.

    6. Place popcorn into festive containers.
