5 Reasons You Need to Love Vegas

If you love all things flashy, wild, loud, and flamboyant, then you'd better pack your bags and let us send you to Las Vegas. This glimmering city in the middle of the desert offers enough food, entertainment, and gambling to satisfy even the pickiest of people. A lot of people turn up their noses at Vegas because, after all, what else is there to do besides gamble? The answer: everything. If that option sounds a bit broad, then that's an apt description of Las Vegas. We’ve narrowed down the top 5 reasons you need to love Vegas. Once you’ve been convinced, you can stop into Isle Waterloo and WIN A TRIP TO VEGAS!

    Travel the World
This might sound a bit glib, but Las Vegas loves pulling in international influences and scattering them about the Strip. You might be smack in the center of the Nevada desert, but you certainly can't find as many other places to visit in one city. Find some of the Big Apple with authentic east coast fare. You can finally try the infamous Nathan's Hot Dogs or indulge in some legit New York pizza. Nine Fine Irishmen embraces New York's Irish heritage with real Irish food paired with a brisk stout. Head overseas to the Paris Las Vegas Hotel where you'll relax in the lap of European luxury and experience al fresco dining that you could only find in the City of Lights. The Eiffel Tower restaurant sits 100 feet above the Vegas action, making you feel like you're sitting in the Eiffel Tower itself.

    The Tropicana
The Tropicana Hotel embodies the 1960s glory of Las Vegas. The hotel's pool has been named the best in the city, and still has one of the town's most beloved pastimes: swim up blackjack. Where else can you lounge in a pool and get your gambling on than in Vegas? Holding true to the hotel's name, the two acre pool is located amongst tropical gardens that make you feel like you've been whisked away to a tropical island. After you've spent a day in the sun, spend your evening at the on-site Laugh Factory with comedy shows every night at 8:30 and 10:30! The best part about The Tropicana is that our friends out west love to hook our guests up with premium rooms at stellar prices. They love us so much they give us rooms to give away!

    City Center
This city within a city is one of Las Vegas' newest and most lauded additions. This 16 million plus square feet center is located on 76 acres of ground smack in the middle of the Vegas Strip. Everything you need is located here, and it really is like another city tucked inside Las Vegas. Hotels, shopping, dining, luxury spas and more are scattered around this brilliant display of marketing and tourism. The project was started by MGM Resorts International as a sort of "people moving" attempt to shuttle people towards the adjacent MGM owned properties. This area is a veritable city with its own fire station, energy plant, and tram. If you're a foodie, you'll be delighted to know that City Center is home to some of the world's best chefs, guaranteeing you a culinary experience you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Call your credit card company because you're going to be going crazy when you see the variety of shopping here; the Shops at Crystals have been lauded as "the shiny monument to high fashion offering only-in-Vegas items by major labels" by the New York Times Style Magazine.

    Kids Love It, Too!
Las Vegas establishments have been working hard to thwart the town's "adults only" reputation by creating family friendly entertainment in most hotels and businesses. While there are certainly places that really are adults only, you won't have difficulty finding appropriate places to take your kids. The LINQ has an observation wheel that towers over the strip and offers an exhilarating way to view the entire city. Stop at Sprinkles for a sugar wonderland with their ice cream and delectable cupcakes. You should probably bring along an adult with an iron stomach if your kids are clamoring to play at the Adventuredome at Circus Circus. Their roller coaster is a hit and the short lines mean your kids can spin and twirl to their heart's content (you probably shouldn't precede this place with your Sprinkles visit, however). Fremont Street mimics the good times you'll find at a state fair with a buffet of fried dessert options. Don't you dare skip out on the fried Oreos and Twinkies. There's a zip-line at Slotzilla that serves up great fun for the entire family. Don't forget to visit the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Your kids can interact with sting rays and get up close and personal with the aquarium's collection of sharks. Older kids might enjoy the shark diving experience!

    Get In Touch with Nature
What? Leave the concrete jungle of Las Vegas? No matter how much you love lounging around pools, unbuttoning your pants after a hefty buffet-style dinner, or spending your evenings with a vodka tonic at the slot machines, you can't fully appreciate Las Vegas until you see the natural beauty that surrounds it. Zion National Park is a short drive away from Vegas and offers you mountaintop views, romantic sunsets, and clear lakes. Slough off the rigors of the city life and dive into adventure with a river rafting trip. If you only have a few hours, you can see the highlights of the park with the free shuttle that takes you up the breathtaking Zion Canyon. There are a ton of private companies that offer you unique ways to see the best parts of the park. If you need to burn off some calories from all the eating you've been doing, consider an adventure guide service to try canyoneering or rock climbing. Whichever way you decide to see Zion, whatever you do, don't forget your camera.

Las Vegas truly has it all: nature, theater, luxury, family bonding, and so much more. It doesn't matter how varied the tastes of your party; you'll be able to find something for everyone here. Don't ever hesitate to pack your bags for an impromptu trip, and never give up the opportunity to win a trip to Vegas!
